Dance, when you're broken open.
Dance, if you're torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance, when you're perfectly free.

he who binds himself a joy,
does the winged life destroy;

"Spell Against Sorrow"
4:32 AM
who will take away,
carry away sorrow,
bear away grief?

stream wash away,
float away sorrow,
flow away, bear away
wear away sorrow,
carry away grief.

mists hide away,
shroud my sorrow,
cover the mountains,
overcloud rememberance,
hide away grief.

earth away,
make away sorrow,
bury the lark's bones,
under the turf,
bury my grief.

black crow tear away,
rend away sorrow,
talon and beak,
pluck out the heart
and the nerves of pain,
tear away grief.

sun take away,
melt away sorrow,
dew lies grey,
rain hangs on the grass,
sun dry tears.

sleep take away,
make away sorrow,
take away the time,
fade away place,
carry me away,
from the world of my sorrow.

song sigh away,
breathe away sorrow,
words tell away,
spell away sorrow,
charm away grief.

How pleasant is love,
When forbid or unknown;
Was my passion approved,
It would quickly be gone.

It adds to the charms
When we steal the delight;
Why should love be exposed?
Since herself has no sight?

In some sylvan shade,
Let me sigh for my lover,
Where none but an echo,
Will speak of again.

Thus silent and soft,
I'll pass the time on,
And when i grow weary,
I'll make my love known.

"forgetmenot."
1:40 PM
by Brian Patten.

She loves him, she loves him not, she is confused.
She picks a fist of soaking grass and fingers it.
She loves him not.
The message passing from her head to heart,
Has in her stomach stopped.
She cannot quite believe the information is correct,
She loves him not.
She knows her needs and yet,
There is no special place they can rest.
To be loved alone is not enough,
She feels something has been lost.
She picks a fist of soaking grass,
Her world is blank, she thinks perhaps,
Its meaningless.

"Happiness"
1:35 PM
To know what is happines,
You must first know how it feels to
Lose things,
Fail in progess,
Feel the future dissolve in a blink of the eye,
Like salt in your wound.

Bliss does not come cheap,
Its a price that we have to afford.
The road that we take,
The things that we do,
Will we reach our destination?
Or fail in the journey?

Before you know happiness as the deepest thing inside,
You must know sadness as the other deepest thing.
You must wake up with sorrow,
Speak with it until your voice catches the thread of sorrow.
And you will size,
Of the cloth.

Bear the clothing,
Know of the pain and suffering,
Then only, truly,
Will you know happiness.

"Freedom"
1:31 PM
Sitting here, in the corner of the room,
I feel the wind,
The mist of the rain,
So still, tranquil and lovely..

This feeling so sereal,
An ecstasy,
An escape from life.

The breeze that blows,
The smell that lingers,
Is it you that I am thinking of?

An escape, I yearn,
From the 'cage' called love.
The 'Birds' that fly,
The 'Freedom' they have,
That, I dearly yearn for.

When you love someone so deep inside,
It seems like it's so easy to hide.
You've loved him for so very long,
You would think he could do no wrong.

Every day you would hope and pray,
That he would always stay this way.
He treated you like you should be treated,
You thought your life was finally completed.

You thought your love was growing true,
And then one day it was all so blue.
He started putting you down and it hurt,
You thought all you were to him was dirt.

He started ignoring you and you wondered why,
All you wanted to do was curl up and die.
You thought your relationship would never end,
But that was all so fake and pretend.

One night he was so sweet to you,
You thought all those things were maybe untrue,
Two days later he was back the same,
You thought you were the one to blame.

He thought the relationship was getting too serious
And that you had become a little too curious.
By this time you knew it wouldn't last,
All the nice things he said were in the past.

You thought that you would marry him some day,
But this time God wanted to get his way.
You wanted things back how they were before,
But you knew this couldn't happen anymore.

It was a Saturday night about ten o'clock,
You heard the news and it wasn't a shock.
You knew this was going to happen soon,
As you laid there and cried in the pale lit moon.

its what i see, thats crumbling,
this future of yours, you ought to know,
it isn't gonna be good, judgement will fall.

tricked and taken in, binded by a spell,
to what love may seem, it isn't.

troubles will appear, so will names,
so 'two face', i wish you luck.

she stares at me,
i wonder what shes thinking.
no one talks,
its peaceful, beyond peaceful,
too quiet.

theres something, something we wanna say,
but can we converse what we're thinking?
feelings so true,
yet unknown to each other.

questions that we ask,
so obvious, the answer.

what are we dragging,
beating around the bush for?

its all for something, never nothing.
we won't go for nothing, never for nothing.
i know things happen, it will always rain.
you may or may not believe it,
hes sleeping through the pain.

he won't go in vain,
theres the pride we hang on to.
what you think about him,
it doesn't matter,
for he is who he is,
the way he is,
we love it and appreciate it.

he'll continue fighting,
for he has reasons.
he wont force it,
as long its good to him.

Mr Independent,
push on, for the future,
that you oh so dearly dream of,
for you know, we'll be behind you.
