First,
marriage should be love
all encompassing, total, and free.
Love that grows stronger each days of murmurs of Thee, Thee, Thee.
Second,
marriage should be sacrifice
giving of self, regardless of reward.
Gift gladly given, with open heartshielded from life's harsh sword.
Third,
marriage should be commitment
utter loyalty, deep to the bone.
Absolutely, no questions asked
faithfully promised, never alone.
Lastly,
marriage should be forever
family bonded, yet all still free.
Lives joined with love, sacrifice, and commitment
an eternity promised with -
Thee, Thee, Thee

What can be said about loss
In love -
Those gaping wounds bleeding from aching spirits.
Rich libraries of memories calling from those
Cob- webbed shelves of the mind, of empty
Arms, and absent laughter, loving ways,
Sparkling eyes no longer there.
Of beakfast tables, lonely beds
And favorite things
Gathering
Dust.

What can be said about love
When loss
Rips the tapestry of a spirit apart, leaving thread bare
A soul unraveling.
When child,
friend, parent, or
Lover carries away with them irretrievably,
A central, vital piece of living.
When nothing is ever the same again.
When healing takes so very long,
leaving such
Hideous
Scars.

It sounds so fun, driving around in the sun.
She was so innocent, young, and sweet.
She had the world right at her feet.
Who would have known that she would die,
leaving everyone she touched to grieve and to cry?
Into the car she got so fast,
She didn't know that today was her last.
It all came up to fast for sight,
But she didn't give up without a fight.
Her funeral was the saddest day of my entire life.
Reality cut through me like a knife.
In another place in another time,
Her life no longer a part of mine.

"My Promise, To You"
Sunday, October 2, 2011 7:59 AM
In This Relationship,
I can tell you, Nothing will be perfect,
We will argue,
We will create distance,
We will have cold wars,
We wont forever agree,
We will be jealous,
We will face hardships.

But I can promise you,
I'll be trying,
I'll fix what went wrong,
I'll run the distance to you,
I'll put away difference,
I'll compromise to agree,
I'll believe and be better,
I'll walk through all weather with you.

Every argument will be a stepping stone to us,
improving us.
Every fight will make us stronger.
For till the day we meet,
in black and white,
to exchange our vows,
I'll take a step at a time,
hand in hand,
come what may,
we'll walk through it all.

love can bring you up, make you and create you,
into something unimaginable.
something so great, you've never thought of.
yet sadly, its the same thing that could bring you down,
destroy and ruin you.
i cant quite really pick my opinion of 'love',
its done both to me.
all these events, i just cant forget...
trust and i sought, in you,
was something i needed, something new,
for a different view of love..
so close, no matter how far,
yet i couldnt hold on, trusting..
letting go of everything, is where i am,
i want you, the better side of love,
but what will i receive?

Here i am, thinking, pondering, carefully chosing my words,

words that will build you, help you, touch you, all for the right reasons.

i cant seem to pick the right phrases, it all seems too cliche.

to put it simply, i wanna show you, with my own words,

how much you mean to me, together babe, theres nothing we cant do.

these are like special thoughts, for a special someone,

on a special night.

this night, seems to be made for love, alittle more perfect than most.

thats when reality meets fantasy, the result, love.

thats when a man finally meets his lady,

and truly can fit words of beauty,

the promise of marriage,

into words, and let it take flight.

"hey pretty, will you marry me?"

its becoming more evident,
much more obvious to me.
i thought much more of you,
than you ever thought of me.
my biggest mistake,
was thinking you cared.
was i just your plaything,
with heartstrings open and bared.
with me left here still thinking,
what was false, what was true,
so puzzling and complex,
no other clue left.
now im left wondering why,
with all the intrigue,
why am i left hanging.
